Ingredients

  • Beef tongue
  • Bacon
  • Bottom round beef
  • Hoagie rolls
  • White onion
  • Tomato
  • Mustard, mayo, and horseradish
  • Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. Boil the tongue ahead of time. Cut and peel off the outer membrane and discard, then slice the tongue thin.
  2. Cook the bacon; set aside on paper towel.
  3. Slice the bottom round into super-thin slices and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the bottom round in the bacon grease; set aside.
  5. Cook the sliced tongue in the bacon grease.
  6. Slice the white onion and the hoagie rolls.
  7. Slather mayo and horseradish on the bread.
  8. Layer the meats, onion, and tomato on the sandwich.

Palate Cleanser Cocktail

Ingredients

  • Frozen bananas
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Coconut milk
  • Vodka
  • Maraschino cherry, to garnish

Steps

  1. Blend the frozen banana, frozen pineapple, and vodka in a blender.
  2. Stream in coconut milk until it reaches the right consistency.
  3. Add a floater of vodka and top with a maraschino cherry.
