Deep-Fried Mac and Cheese Balls
Ingredients
- Macaroni
- 4 tbsp butter (divided: 2 tbsp for the mac, 2 tbsp for the roux)
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1.5 lbs shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Frank's Red Hot
- ½ tsp mustard powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Panko
Steps
- Cook the macaroni.
- Combine the cooked mac with 2 tablespoons butter.
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons butter with the flour, then add the milk.
- Add the cheese into the sauce mixture.
- Add the hot sauce, mustard powder, and garlic powder to the sauce.
- Stir the noodles into the sauce.
- Form into balls, then dredge in the beaten eggs and into the panko.
- Deep-fry the mac and cheese balls until golden.
Waffle Iron Corn Dogs
Ingredients
- Corn muffin mix
- 1 egg
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chives
- Hot dogs
Steps
- Combine the corn muffin mix, egg, and sour cream; mix well, then stir in the cheese and chives.
- Cut the hot dogs.
- Pour batter into the waffle iron, place the hot dogs into the batter, then add more batter on top.
- Close the iron and cook until golden and set.
